Ministry of Emergency Situations Equips All AerialVehicles, Seafaring and River Vessels with GLONASS Systems

Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations presented a report which says that 100% of planes and helicopters, 100% river fleet vessels, and 40.6% (10,15 thousands out of 25 thousands) of motor vehicles were covered by the re-equipment program.

GLONASS modules were installed on 2,72 thousands of motor vehicles registered to territorial Ministry of Emergency SituationsCentral Offices in the North Caucasus, Ural, Siberian and the Far East Federal Districts.

The program also covers Lake Baikal waters in the matter of implementation ofthe digital information and navigation system that uses the latest geo-information technology.

As a reminder, we shall note that the ministry’s re-equipment program was granted more than 43 billion rubles.
