Firefighter Services in Kazakhstan Will Use KAMAZ Fire Trucks with HIROMAX System

Emergency Situations Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan received three fire trucks AC-3,0-40 based on "KAMAZ-43502" chassis, equipped with an innovative normal pressure water mist fire extinguishing system - a development of the Swiss company HIROMAX. The system can suppress fire while spending comparatively small amount of water. As reported by the press service of Neftekamsk Automotive Plant, this method is 5 times more effective than conventional firefighting techniques. This feature is essential for working in low water regions.

The delivery ceremony took place in Astana. One of the vehicles will stay in the city, while others will be transferred to Kokshetau and Uralsk. Specialists from NefAZ will train local firefighters to work with the new equipment.

Chief Specialist - Team Leader on the promotion of fire safety and rescue equipment of JSC "NefAZ" Marat Ahkamov, told RUBEZH magazine that Kazakhstan has received the very first produced vehicles. Currently, the company has reached an agreement with the Ministry of Emergency Situations to conduct trial operation of vehicles. According to Ahkamov, two more units are almost ready, but since the company has already distributed this year’s budget, NefAZ plans to begin implementing the technology in 2015.
