Kirov Region Purchases Mobile Complexes of Traffic Violations Registration

In 2014, Kirov Region will purchase 28 "Arena" mobile complexes of photo and video traffic violations registration. It is proposed that the equipment should be sent to the regional districts. 

Kirov Region Government and the Ministry of Internal Affairs regional branch signed an agreement governing the joint use of cameras and stipulating the provision of assistance on the matters of development and operation of the "Safe City" computer appliance project. 

Currently, the regional center’s crowded places are equipped with high-resolution video cameras with 300-meter range face and license plate recognition feature. In addition, several "Odyssey" stationary complexes were installed in Kirov; the complexes allow registering traffic violations such as speeding and crossing of solid and stop lines.
