As the result of the Russian-Brazilian summit came the signing of a number of documents in the presence of both countries’ leaders. Among the agreements reached is a memorandum on the project for installation and use of GLONASS system measuring stations in Brazil.
The document was signed by Yury Roy, CEO of Scientific and Manufacturing Corporation "Precision Instruments Systems", Paulo Afonso Burmann, Rector of the Federal University of Santa Maria and Frederico Cavalcanti Montenegro, Head of the Pernambuco Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology.
As a reminder, we shall note that since 2013 one such ground system of measurements collection was already functioning at the University of Brasilia. Commissioning of two more stations (a quantum optics and a query-free one) was timed to the visit of the Russian president.
