“Special Firefighter Forces” To be Сreated for World Cup 2018
Specialized fire and rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will stand on duty in eleven cities of Russia hosting World Cup 2018. These units will act as both search and rescue services and fire brigades. Dispatchers of “Service-112” will coordinate their actions. State budget will allocate approximately 6 billion rubles for the creation of new structures.
Newly created units will receive state of the art equipment. Specialists of the new units should be able to act in all kinds of emergency situations and engage in a wide range of tasks: beginning with the liquidation of fumigation and manmade disasters to the tasks of missing persons search and provision of psychological support. According to deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Vladimir Stepanov, the ministry is currently working on the new image of special fire and rescue units.
"System-112" will play an important role in coordinating actions of the special units. Dispatchers, who will work during the World Cup, will receive special training – they will learn how handle calls in two languages - English and Russian, and will learn psychological support techniques.Источник: izvestia.ru
