Ministry of Internal Affairs Purchases Video Surveillance UAV for More than 7.6 Million Rubles

Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation announced a 7.6 million rubles tender for the supply of a special vehicle for aerial observation and video surveillance. The requested complex is designed for the tasks of search, location and identification of objects in designated areas, and in areas determined by the route coordinates of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In addition, the vehicle must carry out video surveillance of identified objects, real time data transfer, photo capture, and support other functions.
The complex must include the following components:
1. Short-range UAV with a remotely controlled dismountable payload unit of HD-video camera and thermal image camera
2. Ground control station
3. Additional equipment and accessories
4. Spare parts and tools for UAV maintenance
5. Maintenance documentation and manuals
Requested equipment will be used to conduct monitoring of infrastructure and individual objects, and mass event locations during both nighttime and daylight conditions. The vehicle will be used for search tasks, information gathering during special missions, and for secure facilities video surveillance.
According to the design specification document, the UAV must be equipped with an autopilot system, GPS and GLONASS modules, internal digital telemetry system, navigation lights, analog video transmitter and antennas.
