JSC "GLONASS" With Registered Capital of 100 Million Rubles Created in Russia

On January 3, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the establishment of joint-stock company "GLONASS" with 100% state participation. The registered capital of the company is 100 million rubles. Ministry of Transport and Federal Property Management Agency will supervise the creation of the company - agencies should propose their candidates for senior management positions and for the audit committee, as well as to create conditions for developing and approving a development strategy until March 30, 2015.

Development of "ERA-GLONASS" system is one of the prioritized tasks of the company. Technological structure of the project involves operation of the system within the state and other information systems, as well as development of technologies for civil use.

Earlier, RUBEZH magazine reported that the Ministry of Finance offered cellular communications operators MTS, "Rostec", "MegaFon", "Vimpelcom" and "Rostelecom" the opportunity to participate in the formation of "GLONASS" capital.
