GLONASS Will Ensure The Safety Of The Rally "Russia-Korea 2014" Participants
The international rally started in Moscow on July 7, timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the voluntary resettlement of Koreans to Russia and with the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Korea. GLONASS will provide additional safety for the rally participants. The rally’s progress can be viewed online.
The rally should take time from July 7 to August 25, 2014. During the month and a half, travelers will pass through the territory of Russia and of the states in Northeast Asia on the following route: Moscow - Tashkent - Almaty - Novosibirsk - Vladivostok - Pyongyang - Seoul. Among the participants of the rally are representatives of Korean regional associations and of other countries’ public organizations.
"Russia-Korea - 2014" rally poses strategic importance for the strengthening of friendly relations between Russia and the Korean Peninsula. The rally should help strengthen partnerships and enhance economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
One of the main goals of the event is to give additional push to the implementation of joint projects in business, scientific, cultural, educational, and tourism areas of cooperation in both countries.
"While continuously passing information to the dispatching software, GLONASS equipment allows operators to track unscheduled stops, route changes and failures of timely checkpoints passage. Whether these parameters are tracked automatically or manually, operators can communicate with the rally participants to clarify current situation," - explained Mikhail Kolesnikov, head of the Software Implementation And Hardware Commercial Projects Division of SpaceTeam holding company.
