CCTV system is to be set up in Nizhny Novgorod Underground in 2016

In 2016 inside the underground of Nizhny Novgorod the CCTV system will be set up. This system will be responsible for the safety of passengers. The special equipment was purchased for the underground: equipment for luggage inspection, metal detectors, automatic frames and special “booths” for the inspection. At present the rooms where new security system is going to be installed are being completed.
The prototype systems are already in operation in a number of underground stations in Nizhny Novgorod. The funding for the installation of CCTV system comes from the federal budget.
