Anniversary Moscow Conference Cisco Connect Is Open

The 15th Anniversary Cisco Connect Conference was launched in Moscow World Trade Center. The main topic to be discussed during the three days from 18 to 20 November - the Internet of Things concept and the creation of smart infrastructures for cities, factories, and everyday life tasks.

Jonathan Sparrow, Vice president of Cisco in Russia/CIS, opened the event with a welcome speech. "Today, Russia for Cisco is not just a key market, but a country where the company and its solutions are developing rapidly". Mr. Sparrow’s presentation materials can be found under the "Presentations" section of the webiste.

According to Wim Elfrink, executive vice president of Cisco on strategy and business development of industrial solutions and director on globalization processes, Russia has a huge potential for the development of the Internet of Things direction. In the next 10 years, this market could reach $273 billion in Russia, of which 216 billion belong to the private sector, 57 billion – to the state sector. The world market is estimated by the company at $19 trillion, 14.4 and 4.6 trillion to the private and state sector, respectively.

Participants of the conference will take part in an extensive business program today, on November 18. The program will be dedicated to the detailed discussion of various Cisco network solutions and technologies, including data centers.
