Israeli Company Implements the “Safe City” Project In Moscow Region
Israeli company Ness Technologies specializing in IT-development is planning to implement the “Safe City” project in Moscow Region. Zvenigorod has been chosen to become a pilot zone for launching this project, and Israeli specialists are to arrive in July.
Within the framework of the project they plan to open the control station and supply it with all the necessary equipment with analytical characteristics.
According to Andrey Vorobiev, governor of Moscow Region, “Safe City” video surveillance cameras and alarm systems will help to compensate for lack of staff in emergency services and provide timely response to emergency calls.
Sergei Timohov, commercial director at “SLOT” CJSC, expressed his point of view on the implementation of the Israeli “Safe City” project in Moscow region: “On the one hand, we are partners of the leading foreign companies like Nike, Verint, etc. But at the same time I believe that our government should think more about the development of domestic “Safe City” systems and invest more into our own projects”.
The expert also specified that such projects exist; they are hardware and software systems “Safe City”, “Safe Region”, SZIONT (population protection and alert system for public transport), KSEON (integrated system for population warning in case of emergency), EDDS 112 (National operations control duty desk), etc.
Sergei Timohov also mentioned that these events are especially relevant due to the latest restrictions introduced into the state procurement of imported goods within the framework of the import substitution program: “Private sector can use any system they choose but when we are talking about government security systems including “Safe City” we should surely talk about the Russian manufacturers. Moreover, many domestic products in this area are significantly superior to their western equivalents, especially in terms of software”.Источник: interfax-russia.ru
